Can MIO™ capture video?

July 6th, 2009 by olopez

Yes. MIO LT™ allows the acquisition of video by means of framegrabber cards certified by C2C (1).

With the aim of having control over the disk storage space requirements, MIO LT™ permits to limit both the size (Mb) and the duration of the captured video sequences.

Once captured, the videos can be processed and managed in multiple ways:

  • Send to PACS as DICOM Multiframe
  • Send to dedicated repository as MPEG2
  • Send to MEDTING as *.flv

As it happens with the images, MIO™ correctly tags and indexes the videos for their posterior management (DICOM tags with patient data, study, episode, etc.)

(1) CANOPUS ADVC 55 and MATROX HELIOS, depending on the signal to be captured.
